125 years of expertise on business data

A French precursor of business information, Ellisphere has a century-old expertise in the collection and management of BtoB data in France and internationally. It accompanies the evolution of BtoB information professions with both companies and public authorities.

Ellisphere’s history was notably marked in 2006 by the creation of Coface Services, a merger of the two main French players in the business information and debt management market (ORT and SCRL).

In 2011, Coface Services became a direct subsidiary of Natixis. In 2014, it took the name of Ellisphere, the final step of a regained autonomy and of a new dynamic centered on BtoB information and brought about by an ever-changing economic and regulatory context. Since 2019, Ellisphere has been a shareholder: Bpifrance, Tikehau Capital and Andera Partners.

The founding member of the FIGEC (Fédération Nationale de l’Information d’Entreprise, de la Gestion de Créances et de l’Enquête Civile), the FEBIS (Federation of business information services) and the international information network BIGnet Alliance, Ellisphere is also an active member of the following main organizations:

Data Pole

The data pole of Ellisphere is responsible for collecting, analysing and permanently enriching the information in the data repository.

It is fed by public but also private sources (investigations, media, partnerships, communities of remitters). Specialized teams collect and qualify information such as annual accounts, financial links, judgments and payment experiences.

These data are subject to rigorous cross-checking to be rectified and valued in an editorial consistency allowing to have a rich and reliable multi-sourced documentary fonds for the creation of customer solutions.

Data Science Pole

The data science team in Ellisphere is responsible for transforming and analysing data, for example through machine learning algorithms, and then helping and accelerating decision-making.

As a result of the increase in the number of data available within companies, the role of data science is becoming more and more indispensable.Indeed, raw data remains poorly structured and therefore difficult to use without human intervention.

The role of the data science pole is therefore to transform this data through artificial intelligence to put in place decision-making solutions that respond to the challenges of our customers.

Pôle IT

Ellisphere’s IT division provides its contribution and expertise in the design of digital solutions for its customers. It is part of an ongoing collaborative approach with professional experts, data science and marketing. Its technological expertise is at the heart of its concerns in order to anticipate, innovate and facilitate the use of efficient solutions in the market.

Creation of web interfaces, construction of APIs and intelligent connectors, collection and refining of fresh and targeted data, industrialization of artificial intelligence processes are at the heart of the missions of the IT pole in Ellisphere.

Regulatory Pole

Through its regulatory pole, Ellisphere ensures continuous monitoring of regulations that can impact its businesses in relation to those of its customers.Its role is to identify as soon as possible and anticipate the operational impact of Community and French regulations in order to adapt to these new challenges as well as those of its customers.

It is for example to monitor the evolution of company law, data law in the broad sense, the requirements for the identification of third parties (anti-money laundering, anti-corruption, duty of vigilance), the financial regulation linked to the assessment of credit risk, etc. At the service of Ellisphere’s various expertise, the regulatory centre ensures an indispensable watch for the understanding of the business issues of tomorrow.

Financial Analysis Pole

By creating appropriate methodologies based on specific business lines and financial indicators, the Financial Expertise Centre acts as a consultant to Ellisphere’s clients in the preventive management of their credit risk.

It puts in place ratios (static and dynamic), markers (warnings) focused on the cash and liquid vision of the company studied.

In parallel with this activity, he carries out training actions allowing managers, their teams, to quickly and reliably understand the financial health of a company. The pole integrates the governance of Ellisphere’s probability score of default.

Customer Relationship Pole

The Customer Relations division is made up of about twenty experts in corporate information. Each year, they respond to more than 100,000 customer requests.
