Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, France's second largest economic region
With some 1,222,500 active companies, the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region ranks second in metropolitan France. With approximately 13% of the national total, it ranks behind Île-de-France (21.5%) and ahead of Occitanie (10.5%).
